Office Vacancy – Part-time Parish Administrator (16 hour/week)St Margaret's are looking for an organised, friendly, pro-active person for the post of Parish Administrator. The job is based in the Parish Office at the church with the hours being 10.00 am to 2.00 pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday with flexibility available. St Margaret’s Church Welcomes Revd Canon Ben Whitmore St Margaret’s Church, Great Barr is delighted to announce the arrival of Revd Canon Ben Whitmore as its new minister. Canon Ben will be formally licensed during a special service on Sunday 26th April at 5:00pm. This important occasion marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter in the life of our church, and we warmly invite all members of the community to join us in celebrating. The licensing service will be a joyful and meaningful event, offering an opportunity to gather in worship, give thanks, and look forward to the future under Canon Ben’s leadership. Following the service, there will be a chance to meet Canon Ben and extend a personal welcome. Whether you are a regular member of the congregation, a friend of the church, or simply curious to come along, you will be most welcome. We look forward to sharing this special occasion with you.
Donations to St Margaret's ChurchThere is now a new way to donate to St Margaret's Church using "Donate Now" set up by the Diocese of Lichfield to help their churches. Their Finance Team, with help from a local software company, Data Developments, have put a Donate Now button on the Diocese website.If you would like to make a donation to St Margaret’s Church, then click on the link to the Donate Now page, after you have clicked the button, you can enter your details and can choose St Margaret’s from the drop-down list of churches.
In addition, there is a Gift Aid option as well as an option for donors to cover the transaction cost if they want to. As is the case with Contactless and Giving Direct, funds go into the Diocesan bank account as the registered charity and are then passed on to St Margaret’s as soon as possible along with a report showing when the donations were made.
