Act of Remembrance - Sunday 12 November 2023

This year's Remembrance Service raised £72.68.

Please find below some pictures for this year's Remembrance Service, led by Rev Ian Cardinal, which again was held by the War Memorial.  We were grateful for the support of ex-servicemen, who included two veterans from World War II.  The 2 men who are in their 90s met for the first time since the Normandy landings.  The King's Wreath was laid by the Deputy Lord Lieutenant for the West Midlands, John Wood, with other wreaths from the armed services, MPs, local councillors, uniformed youth organisations and the community.

Donations to St Margaret's Church

There is now a new way to donate to St Margaret's Church using "Donate Now" set up by the Diocese of Lichfield to help their churches.  Their Finance Team, with help from a local software company, Data Developments, have put a Donate Now button on the Diocese website.

If you would like to make a donation to St Margaret’s Church, then click on the link to the Donate Now page, after you have clicked the button, you can enter your details and can choose St Margaret’s from the drop-down list of churches.

In addition, there is a Gift Aid option as well as an option for donors to cover the transaction cost if they want to.  As is the case with Contactless and Giving Direct, funds go into the Diocesan bank account as the registered charity and are then passed on to St Margaret’s as soon as possible along with a report showing when the donations were made.

Many Thanks
